1. Are the cottages on a lake?
Yes. All cottages on our website are lakefront, meaning you have direct access to the lake, with a shallow entrance, beautiful water views, and a peaceful natural setting.
Tralina, Aftica, Makapine & Silk are on Petit Lac Noire. Pinehouse is on Lake Wentworth, Hunter is on Lac de L'achigan, and MonReve is on Lac de la Montagne Noire.
2. How's the fishing?
The fishing is Amazing! Our cottages have some of the best lake fishing in the Laurentians. Renters are catching Large Mouth Bass, Trout, Perch, Sunfish, catfish and more! Please note that a fishing license is required and may be purchased at the local store.
3. Are the cottages family-friendly?
Yes. All of our cottages are family-friendly and perfect for families looking to relax in nature, swim in the lake, and enjoy the outdoors. Best of all, our cottages offer a 100% smoking free environment.
4. Are the cottages pet-friendly?
Yes, some cottages allow well-behaved dogs so your whole family can enjoy the stay together.
5. Is smoking allowed?
No. The cottages are strictly non-smoking to keep the space clean and comfortable for all guests.
6. Do the cottages have Wi-Fi?
Yes, the cottages include Wi-Fi, so you can stay connected during your stay.
7. Do the cottages have a smart TV?
Not that you're likely to watch TV... but YES most cottages have a Smart TV with streaming services. Some with Free Netflix, Crave, Prime & Disney+.
8. Is there a lot of wildlife in the area?
You bet! In summer, expect to see a few duck families swim by with their young. And some more brazen ones will walk straight up to be fed.
In Winter, there are often many deer crossing the lake or at your front door!
9. What activities can we do?
What activities CAN'T you do! There is swimming, boats, docks,
bonfires and more!
In addition to all the family fun on the lake, the Laurentians offer
many activities nearby, including:
- Hiking and nature trails
- Skiing, tubing and snow activities in winter
- Local restaurants and outlet Shopping in Saint-Sauveur
- Dog sledding
10. Do you provide Bedding?
Yes, we provide fresh linens, neatly folded at the foot of each bed,
for those who prefer to bring their own.
11. Do you provide Towels?
No, we do not provide beach or bath towels, only kitchen &
hand towels and dish rags.
12. How far are the cottages from Montreal, QC and Ottawa, ON?
Our cottages are located in the Laurentians region of Quebec in Wentworth-Nord, St-Hippolyte & Lantier. The majority of them are approximately 1 h 20 from Montreal (or 2 hours from Ottawa). making it a perfect getaway from the city.
