Rentals are to family groups and responsible adults 25 years+ only. NO TEENAGERS. NO PARTIES. NO LARGE GROUPS. We reserve the right to immediately terminate or reject rental, without refund, if in our opinion the tenant has violated these policies or determines, in Agent’s sole discretion, that tenant(s) are detrimental to the property.
Smoking & Vaping is strictly forbidden at any of the cottages. This includes inside the cottage and outside anywhere on the property. Smoking/Vaping is only permitted off-property at the road, and all butts must be properly extinguished and disposed of. NO littering.
For those cottages which are pet-friendly: Maximum 2 small-medium dogs (breeds under 50 lbs), or 1 large dog (under 75 lbs). NO CATS. Dogs are not allowed to wander onto another property. If you cannot keep your pet under control, it must be tied. Dogs that bark too much should be kept indoors. At check-out, renters must sweep up excessive dirt/pet hair on floors, vacuum any furniture covered with hair, and pick up all dog poop/garbage outside. If the cottage requires excessive cleaning, a $100 cleaning fee will be deducted from the security deposit.
Guests are welcome to visit, just as long as you never exceed the maximum number of people allowed at the cottage. Any extra people will be asked to leave immediately.
If you bring your own watercraft (canoe, kayak, paddleboard, blow up raft, etc), brand new or used, you are required to have it washed before launching it, and must obtain a permit from the city (cost $10). Renters are required by Municipal law to follow the guidelines for garbage, recycling and composting. View Municipal Guidelines.
Renters are required to complete a rental agreement and provide 50% of the total rental fee (*100% payment is required when arrival is less than 30 days away). Dates are held for 24 hours. Final payment is due 1 week prior to arrival.
We require a $500 security deposit 1 week prior to arrival. No one receives entry to a cottage without it. Deposits are returned once the accommodation has been inspected (generally within 48 hours). In case of any damages or data overages, we will notify you by email & simply deduct the amount from your deposit.
Renters can arrive at the cottage any time after 4pm, and must depart the cottage at 11am sharp. Off season, an earlier check-in and late check-out may be possible.
Renters have until 60 days (Sep – May) or 90 days (Jun – Aug) prior to their check-in date to cancel for a full refund minus a $100 administration fee. Any time after that, you lose your entire deposit (If we are able to re-book the dates, you will be fully refunded, minus the admin fee).
Should you wish to cancel a longer-term rental mid-term, the rental fee will switch from the long-term rate to short-term pricing. *Unless you/we can find someone suitable to take over the balance of your rental term. Note: For any changes, a $50 administration fee will be deducted from your security deposit. It is strictly forbidden to sublet the cottage.
Payments may be made easily online via Interac or PayPal. Renters who wish to pay by credit card via PayPal will incur a 3% processing fee. Alternately, Interac costs only $1.50/transaction).
